Welcome to Dragon Fodder. This blog is designed for the nerd in all of us looking to visit (or renew your travel visa to) the realm of Dungeons and Dragons (specifically 5th Edition rules.)
We are going to focus on the new/casual player experience, if you are an advanced player there are other places that will cater to your needs, but you are welcome to stay and contribute.
However we need to set some expectations and set some ground rules.
1. We are here to get you up and running quickly
2. We will discard rules and simplify things in order to make the play more fun, quicker and filled with less minutia.
3. We will advocate a sliding approach to play whereby the players start with the bare minimum of character configuration and add rules/information as they progress as players.
4. We are dedicated to making the game approachable and fun for all players.
5. We will be focused on making the cost of entry as low as possible, so recommending as many free resources as possible.
